1. Introduction

AxiomAI ("we", "our", or "us") provides a Chrome Extension that allows users to rewrite, summarize, and analyze text on web pages using Artificial Intelligence. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

2. Data Collection & Usage

We do not store your personal data.

When you use AxiomAI to process text:

  • The specific text you highlight or select is sent securely (via HTTPS) to our backend server (`api.axiomai.dev`).
  • Our server acts as a proxy and forwards this text immediately to the OpenAI API for processing.
  • The AI-generated response is returned to your browser.
  • Neither the original text nor the AI response is logged, saved, or used to train AI models by us.

3. Permissions

The AxiomAI extension requires specific permissions to function:

  • Context Menus: To add the "AxiomAI" option to your right-click menu.
  • ActiveTab / Scripting: To read the text you selected and to show the overlay popup with the results. We only access the content of the page when you explicitly invoke the tool.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on OpenAI to provide intelligence. Data sent to OpenAI is subject to their API Data Usage Policies, which typically state that API data is not used for training.
